Well here's my hearse project, I'm finally in a position to be putting work into it every day. I am anticipating having it on the road dragging in two months. I've wanted a hearse for as long as I can remember, I always loved the proportions of them and thought they'd look awesome on the ground.

I'm a hot rod and kustom guy, I love all my vehicles super low. I have withdrawls if I don't buy a car every 3 months. A 60's Cad (Miller Meteor) has been at the top of my "list" for years. I bought it about a year ago and had to sit on it until now. I will be keeping on it until it's on the road!

By the way, I am a firm believer in giving credit where it's due...

I bought this car as an incomplete project, someone had already installed a chevy drivetrain and air bags, along with shaving the door handles and trim. The car was/is rough. I was really intimidated and contemplated holding out until I could afford a cleaner, stock 60's M&M limo style. But I have a soft spot for abandoned projects (plus, it looked cool!). Plus I've wanted a hearse for so long and the opportunity came up, I already had a place to put it. I am excited to have dived in on this and realize that I'm capable. Some of the existing work is good (body) and some I am redoing (mecanical & airride).

Thats sick, When shes done maybe you and Creepy can drive by some really dry corn feilds and see what happens. LOL I want to bag my 70 down the road but for now i just put flints on a old broom handle and have the wife hang out the back.

www.suicidedoors.com generally has the same stuff everyone else sells, but at lower prices. They also fabricate a lot of cool looking brackets, notches and stuff on the cheap. Get a system figured out, then check there for parts before you order somewhere else. You might save yourself a few bucks.

Funny this post came up. Today my place of employment decided to clean house. In one department they build palletizing equipment. Came home with 12 airbags. Not sure if i can use them or not. They are Goodyear super-cushions #1B6-530. Anyone have any idea if i can fab these to work. I couldnt let them just throw them away ya know

those are single bellow 1/4", they would be great to spring the front of a small car that only needs a little lift. Not something you'd want to bag a hearse with but still a good save, I would grabbed them too!

So I'm happy to say this thread is not dead, It's been a crazy year and I've had to let my hearse sit dormant. I just secured a shop space, I move the my car in a week or two and the real build will finally begin!
