  • Superior school buses

How does this pertain to coaches? Well, they can at least provide effin' cool garage wall hanging art. Superior used the same amount of detail in manufacturing. I've come across several mid-'50s through early-'60s buses in wrecking yards. Look for those with seats remaining! One galvanized seat back per bus is embossed with the Superior logo. Here are examples I grabbed over the weekend~

On the wooden seat frame behind galvanized backing plate (embossed or not), Superior logos are painted on. These aren't even seen but they went through the effort.

Stampings don't have much scrap weight so you should be able to get them cheaply. (Unless like me you show too much exuberance...) Fun enough to always keep an eye open for!

Negative Clayton - post it! One of these Superior buses had a rusty first aid shell still attached to the wall next to driver's seat. If they're also embossed I'm returning to look more closely.

This was brought to me from a co worker after finding it at a garage sale.
Still has eleven of the wrapped up little boxes full of gauze, tourniquets, forceps, and ammonia inhalants.
I assume it came outta' a bus....(?)

Yes - I'd assume bus as well. Thanks for taking the time to throw that picture up. Now I have something to reference on future yard trips.
