Listen to Pyro. Do not even mention 1964, You will really confuse Them. In 64 there was 2 different trannys. He said go with a 63 because They had jetaways. A 2 bolt starter was on Mine. I don't know what starters go on a 64 or 65 turbo. The 63 should be for a 390. The 64 only year, They ripped out the block to make the 429. In 1965, the block was changed, since the mounts don;t line up. Your crankshaft is also different than a passenger 64.. 64 was a weird year.

well called a different napa across town, the one close to me i think the guys in it are retarded or just jerks. and he has one with a limited lifetime warrenty available. im gonna go pick it up, weird thing he said none was listed for 64 but for a 65 he had one thats for a 429... crossing my fingers it the right one. if no i guess i will just return it and try to rebuild mine since itll be out.

I was able to use a 1990 Dodge Caravan fuel tank in my '62. The filler hole is only a couple inches different.

Ya that looks like pretty straight forward tank mounting. maybe put in a plastic fuel cell or something. i think i may try jbweld cover the pinholes in the bottom of the tank, or i will check into see if theres anything made by jb to repair fuel tanks i believe there was. but cant remember, there is some stuff sold for tanks called kreeme that i hear people have had good results with on old 3 wheeler tanks.

the one ton springs should be just fine, i will adjust them by taking out leaves if i have to, but the stock hearse spring pack is 9 leaves and so is the one ton pack so i think it might be a perfect fit.

That gas tank is basically just help up by 2 L angle brackets. With that said, you could easily mount any gas tank, as long as the filler neck was close.

I have never had one repaired but it can be done. The gas tank in that car is the same one used in the standard 1958 cadillac. That might be a bit tricky to find also but it gives you another option. The 58 is to my understanding the only 50's cad not being reproduced so repair might be easier.

They may fit, but I would think 3 times about using 1 ton springs. I had 4 and still have One. Empty will beat Ya to death on a bad road. The car and truck will weigh about the same. Now put about 3000-4000 lbs. in the back and it smooths out. Kinda hard in a car.
