I was able to find out just by really searching through the car. On both my 69's I found paper work and other items with the former funeral homes name on it. In my first one behind the glove box there was a stack of death certificate type forms that had fallen or been pushed back into the dash, and they had the funeral home name and address on them.
My current 69 had similar items lost under the seats by the original owners. The one I have now was actually used by a funeral home in the town we now live in. I do not believe that funeral home was the first owner though as the car was gold from Miller Meteor and painted black later.
The 49 Miller we have had some items in it as well.
Anyway just really search through your car and you may find some answers.

I went to the DMV and did a title search. It will tell you where that will get you a copy of all the titles from the state you are in. I don't know if all state do this or not. I did this a couple years ago. I also talked the funeral director in Ga that owned my hearse and he said he got Her from a hearse dealer in Ga, but She was from Alabama. That's as far as I got. I would love to find out the original funeral home.

I bought my old coach right from the funeral home (73 superior) back in 98. It went threw 3 funeral homes. The 69 i have now actually has a big dash plate that says "specially made for Tompson's funeral home. I know it came from SC . So I guess Tompsons is in NC or was back in 1969....
