  • linoleum vs. vinyl

armstrong-sheet-flooring-lucky-martinique4-460.jpgOk, so whats the pro's & con's of using either in the back of my Hearse. Whats traditionly used? I found a pattern of vinyl thats real close to the original.

I would be concerned about how the material reacts in the sun. If the sun causes any discoloration, you may end up with some ugly patches under the windows. Our trailer was a demo model and the sun caused the lino near the rear door to darken. If you keep your coach garaged, this won't be a problem.

What else would pyro bring this up for in the back of his hearse Ryan - headliner???

After following both threads you started Russ, I'm curious to learn when coach builders' change from linoleum to vinyl took place.

My '58 had Marmoleum in it. Granted, it was toast, but the bits that were hidden under the rear sill plate were very interesting marbled colors!

Honestly, I don't see why linoleum vs. vinyl matters. If you found a product that you like, go for it.

there might be some rated for outdoor, im hearing good things about the vynal planks(the real flexable ones) at the home depot. supposed to take some serious abuse.

in my chicken coops i use the linoleum rolls its nice to have a a seamless floor, seems to take cold well. and some sun too, we dont get much around here tho, thats why my 64 dash pad looks like new.
