Not bad. I'm doing a rattle can job on my hood, before our Orlando trip. And the first trip to work, some jackass is blowing sand off the sidewalk in front Burger King, with a gas blower. Guess where the sand went. All over the hood of my car.

I don't know what you used. I used to sand, primer and shoot them with acrylic enamel. Of course, acrylic lacquer needed mechanical buffing. Enamel, I would just give a quick rub with fine polishing compound, rinse with plain water, drive it dry, then wait 6 months to wax it. It would end up looking pretty good.

It looks great. I have been considering doing a quick home job on the 60, just to keep her preserved until I can have it done right. I just don't want to do any damage.

              Thanks for the inspiration.

Great job man! Considering what you had to start with and keeping a good budget! Some of the guys I rode with in Va didnt care that much to even try to keep it from rusting out worse.

I have a 68 SS in my bone yard in Va. just missing the back glass. Its for parts since I dont have a title. Need anything just hit me up for a hookup!

KUDOS! keep up the good work!

The biggest problem I've ever had with a rattle can was a sore finger. There is actually an adapter that you can get to put in a can and pull a trigger to shoot it, but considering that today's production guns are around 30 bucks, I'm just going to get a new color gun, and keep my old piece of shit as a primer gun. I used temporary labor when I had my shop, and one of the painters told me that these 30-dollar Taiwan specials worked as well as the 200-dollar Binks guns that he used to buy, so what the hell.
