  • My '91 "Eureka Signature" Cadillac Deville Hearse...

Hey folks, I'm new to this forum, but not new to the world of the HEARSE... I used to own a '67 Superior Cadillac Hearse, one of my absolute favourite body styles... I've got some radical custom ideas if I get my hands on another one & it's a suitable candidate...

The Hearse pictured is a fun ride, about half the weight of my '67... It's basically un-touched, so far, except for the 20's she's rollin' on... Plans in the spring are to bag it, and do some interior work... I do need a passenger door window if anyone knows a good source...

That's it for now, here's a few pics for you to check out...

My '90 gets around 22.5 mpg. I'm guessin this one is the 4.9 liter being a '91? bet it gets around 22 to 24 correct?

Thanks for the "sweet hearse", if definitely turns some heads... I'm stunned sometimes as to how much of the general public loves it, but I get a real kick outa the "creeped out" ones...

jl is right, it is a 4.9 & is capable of 22 - 24 mpg...

Thanks for the welcome Evil... I'll have to do some diggin' around to find some pics of it...

Thanks for the compliment... Not quite sure about the "rims" comment though... I thought they really enhanced the look of the ride, they're 20" Verde Scorpions...

Yeah mine is a 90 S&S, no difference in body or mechanical except the motor itself. I've got some 20's picked out for mine as well but since I travel all the time, alot of my money is wrapped up in maintaining it. Dunno if you know this already or not, but I've found that when you're looking for parts, look for Deville parts instead of Fleetwood 60 special. You'll find its alot easier to track stuff down for it, including the airbag kit.

I enjoy the drivability of these Hearses, besides the fact that they look like they could still be in service, as many still are... Parts, I do know it's a Deville, my only issue is finding a passenger door glass (filled the hole with Lexan), and no one can tell me for sure if it's commercial glass or if a regular 4-door Deville will work... Airbag Kit, mine doesn't seem to have airbags, unless I'm missing something... The steering wheel is a non-airbag Cadillac...

No yours won't have factory airbags, just like mine, just some cheezy factory air struts in the back as part of the leveling system. They make an aftermarket airbag kit for devilles/fleetwood 60's so you can slam it to the ground. Glass wise? Well from what I can tell the back passenger doors appear to have bigger glass in them than a stock deville does. I'm definetely thinkin you need to find a wrecked '90 '91 hearse to pull the glass out of. While I'm home I'm gonna scour the salvage yards for any hearse parts to post up on here for people looking, I'll keep an eye out for a hearse like yours for any spare parts.

Sorry 'bout that, I thought you were talking about "accident" airbags... I really would appreciate it if you could keep an eye out for that glass... There's none in any salvage yards around here, the lexan is a decent alternative for now...

Baggin' it will be coming in the spring... I've been looking on-line at a few different kits...

                            Thanks again...
