  • New toy... BIG toy!

Well I couldn't resist... bought another coach! Here's a "teaser shot" for ya... too nasty out for some good pix today after the long (but enjoyable) cruise home. Hey STODD i found your purple headlights... but had to buy the WHOLE damn coach to GET THEM!

Hmmm, I feel oddly strange that this coach was following me in the rear view mirror for awhile. I could be mistaken. Awesome coach, even better in person. Ya know I want that O2 holder

Yeah it's a '67... Miller-Meteor Duplex combination. She has some little issues that need addressed, but overall it's a sweet ride. Wasn't even thinking of buying another coach right now, but this one fell in my lap & couldn't pass it up. Had 2 people try to buy her from me before she was even home! Word leaked out just before I picked it up. The trip Friday to get her was great, Chris (Banded Spirits on here) took me in his hearse & we made the 2 hour trip in no time, and were blown away when we saw her sitting in the driveway. No problems on the way home after the purchase, this old girl loves the freeway. Here's a few pix taken today...

A few more pix... and a HUGE thanks to Banded Spirits for taking me to get this beast home! BTW Chris I made sure you could see the oxygen bottle holders in the interior pic that you want so bad! This coach has the 429 in it with 68,000 miles. The spotlight has a blinking red lens on one side & a searchlight on the other side. Have to get the siren rebuilt, do some minor bodywork & exhaust work. So far everything seems to work on it. Put all the original curtains back in it before the photos were taken. The ambulance signs are in the rearmost windows & the landau panels are perfect. All the chrome is phenominal. Hard to believe she's an OHIO coach!

That is a pretty piece of steel for sure. Actually, I feel comfortible saying that that car is my new favorite amongst all owned by people on here. Congradulations. Dare I ask what the price sticker was on that beauty?

Thanks for the compliments! Josh i'll post some pix with the landau panels off for you as soon as I can, didn't take any today. Someone had washed & dried all the curtains & threw them all in a bag... & they'd shrunk! Had to wet them to get them to stretch enough to fit, took most of the day. Plus figuring out what ones went where was interesting. Billy, i'd rather not say what I paid because if later down the road I have to sell a coach I don't get the "But you ONLY paid ----- for it!" kind of shit... and with my hotrods I used to build 2 per year & hustle them for profit in the fall. I've sold several coaches for friends this year & found a few for friends too, free of charge. Later I might get back into flipping again with hearses & ambulances this time (not my personal collection) & pass them along to people on here so more can be saved & enjoyed, hate seeing them rotting away & neglected. This '67 is getting duals & i'm thinking wide whites with the stock caps... any suggestions? Actually she has to sit as-is for a while until work picks up or I hustle the Mercury or the Hot Wheels collection!

Wow Dwayne, I am truly impressed this is an Ohio car. It must've been garaged its entire life because as a former resident, I know how rough those Ohio winters are on cars. It's beautiful!

That thing is drop dead gorgeous! You did well fo sho.

The funny thing about flipping cars to your friends is that you almost always lose money on the deal but you end up saving a ton of cars that way. If I had broken even on everything I sold, I probably could have had that blower on my car by now. =)

Well alot of people can't stand "hearse flippers" but to me it all depends on how you approach it. We've all seen the "Looky what I have & you dont!" kind of flippers that turn on their "Conneticut car-salesman" charm and end up annoying you more than anything. I sold 2 coaches on here for other people this year alone (just passing along info on the coach with some pix) and didn't build up the cars as "rare" or "she's a cream puff" shit. When I posted the '51 Superior for $10,000 i was told i'm stoned, crazy, etc. but it sold for full price in a matter of a few weeks... and STILL get calls on it because it was a more than fair price compared to what's out there. I don't look to retire from a sale, just some profit to invest into my coaches and it's just an idea for now. To me the key is being honest & up front. Look at this '67... looks MINT huh! Everyone loves her so far. I don't have a "magic camera" & don't have a clue how to modify pix (only to resize them) but it's FAR from mint! The tailpipe is broke & bubbling under the paint in the typical places down low, also the exhaust manifold gasket is blown on the driver's side so it sounds like a rag box! How's that for honesty? I even point out the flaws in my own cars! LOL. Glad y'all like the '67, she's loved & appreciated very much & i'm proud to own her. StrayCat blew me away saying it's his favorite coach on NHAA... i'm flattered at that since there's so many nice coaches on here. A big THANK YOU for all the compliments guys!

I told dwayne if he didn't want it, he would be driving my 77 back and I'd take it. Its an evil looking car in the rear view mirror. I notice the O2 holder, ha, don't leave me alone with that car. Duals and stock caps would be the best route in my opinion, specially if I buy it later down the road, not into the chrome rims so much. hehe. It's in perfect hands and someone that will appreciate it too. Gotta get a name for her now.

And BLACK! Jesus Christ, I love black cars!

Now find out for me where the previous owner scored the purple lamps...please

John, the scary thing is there were 2 new high beams sitting on the front seat when I picked it up, the purple high beams were going to be removed this past winter! There's also 2 purple lights in the bubble light, along with 2 clear ones. I'll ask around again & find out where these lights can be bought... my last inquiry only turned up red headlights for ya.
