  • How to NOT be an idiot.

Well, the job I had to do last night turned into a spectacle for the whole neigborhood. A friend of a friend of mine has or well, HAD a 2001 porshe 911 carerra, and he was having a problem smelling fuel, well, i told him i was on my way, DON'T TOUCH IT!!!! Well, he touched it. The high preasure fuel line had a leak in it, small, but enough, and he had the car running in his garage while i was enroute, he reached in and grabbed the fuel line and for some stupid reason twisted on it. The car went up in flames. By the time i rolled up, the car was completely engulfed, half the neigborhood was in the street watching, and the ceiling in his garage was beginning to catch. The fire department had not shown up yet, and dipshit was running around with a bucket of water trying to put it out. I jumped out of the car and ran up to him screaming my head off to get the fuck away from the car and the house, while also screaming at the neigbors to get on the other side of the road at least, just as i saw the lights from the fire truck through the trees on the highway behind his hood, the fucker EXPLODES from the front end. That tank went up like it had C4 in it. also keep in mind he had the damn thing ENCLOSED in the garage, the garage leveled itself completely. Luck bastard though. His garage was separate from the house and about 50 feet away from it towards his back yard, dumbfuck could have lost EVEYTHING.

So here's a little lesson for you. NEVER work on a fuel system when

    A. You are in an enclosed garage.
    B. The damn car is running and warm.
    C. If you see the problem, especially on a newer car, and especially if it is a hose, those fuckers are UNDER PREASURE. So don't go grabbing and jerking and twisting on the fucker.

We rode by there last night after the show to see if we could get some pics, but they have that place all sorts if covered with tarps and shit. I guess it's for investigation and insurance purposes. I'll see what I can do in a day or two, see if it all calms down. I want pics of it too....lol.

I assume there are camo trucks at gas stations all the time, I just can't see 'em.
