  • Question about Monster Bash

I'm going to need a real reliability run after I get the new '64 up to snuff. When is Monster Bash?

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that at least the quarter panel will be on mine and part of the interior work will be done at income tax time. I won't hold my breath for the back door. But I'm hoping that I can get her to Monster Bash too.

Where is a central location to get a motel? Maybe someone could get us a group rate like I did for our trip to Daytona. Would be cool hanging out with everyone again.

I took care of that the past few years and got a very good rate for folks.

I think last year they paid something like $59.00 a night. As we approach closer to the Bash I can make the same arrangements.

Ed, can you say CONVOY? Of course, we'd be Deadheading it. Seriously, It looks like just me and my son will be making this trip, we should roll to the ATL together.

There is only one hotel in Loganville.....the majority of the Dead-Ends Hearse club lives right by. Last year it worked out great. Everyone that came in that Saturday afternoon hung out with the locals. The hotel is actually in a very good, safe part of town. There is a dunkin donuts and an I-Hop right next door to the hotel plus a Super Walmart right across the street. Also plenty of parking for the hearses.

Catura and JustGrim stayed there and I believe deadbride stayed there Sunday night.

Friday works for me, just need time to get a nap, I work til 6am Fri. morning.
One of the hotels at the exit Mac lives by wouldn't give us a room the last time I came to ATL because I was in a hearse. Drove up in the hearse, they had no rooms, went to the next exit got a room, called the Comfort Inn back and lo and behold they had rooms. So if it is the Comfort Inn I will go to the next exit where we are welcome.

Actually the Hotel is part of the Ramada Hotels and they had no problem with the hearses. I called them a head of time and got the rates and then told them I had a group coming in town for the weekend and they were cool with it.

There is a Ruby Tuesdays right across the street from the hotel that has a bar. Also, a pizza place, a few Mexican restaurants and some fast food places.
