Yeah - you have to actually like sweet tea - that is a must.

We figured that people in Miami drive according to the rules of the country they came from, with zero regard for the actual traffic laws of the state or country.

People in Miami can't drive by choice. The cubans don't give a fuck about anything but themselves. They are rude nasty people and think you have a lot of nerve to speak english in their city. I swear America is the only place in the world where foreigners move in to and expect the country to conform to there culture.

Now that 99.99993% of Miami is no longer of english speking decent, that pretty much means no one on the road could give a shit about whether it is "your right of way" and could give a shit about your safety and well being.

For those of you who don't know I am from Miami. It is a great place to visit but buy cyanide if you want to live there. You will use it.

My dad still has a shirt with a picture of the American flag on it with the caption "Would the last American to leave Miami please bring the flag." Words to live by.

I may not actually live in Miami, but I live close enough to it. What pisses me off is when I see billboards in spanish. Seriously, wtf? I already know I'm going to love Georgia a lot more than Florida. I know there will be some things about GA I might not like, but it couldn't possibly be worse than here. From the sound of it, I think Richard feels the same!

Another good saying is "All the nuts roll down to Florida".

Do any of you know what kind of area Lilburn is? Just wondering since there's a chance I might get a job there.

Well, you know why Florida doesn't fall into the ocean?

Lilburn used to be real nice, now it is an illegal Mexican cess pool.
Shouldn't be to bad to work in but I sure wouldn't want to live there.

ding ding. that's part of the reason i moved to walton county. I knew it was time to get out when billboards started going up in spanish. on the plus side if it's still there is a place called the book nook. great place for used cd's and books.

That would put you within about 5 miles of where I live. Yes it has gone seriously downhill, but, so long as you dont work at a check cashing store it is still safe. Not all of lilburn is bad. there are still plenty of houses the mexicans cant afford..........

                    Interesting...

Well, I don't plan on moving to Lilburn, so thats a good thing. I was thinking maybe moving to Loganville. There's also a good chance I might get a job in Snellville. Actually, I'm hoping I get the job in Snellville since it really does sound like a good place to work at. Now I'm starting to worry. There's this thing about me and Mexicans...they love to hit on me. I really really don't like it when they do.

I just read an article about the five most dangerous cities in America, and guess what? Miami was on the list! It was # 3 on the list, too. And no, Atlanta was not on the list. So be happy you left, Richard. Oh, and for Scary Guy, Detroit was # 1!

Ok. Now back to asking more questions. How bad is Conyers? I know its not the best area, but is it so bad that it's unlivable for someone like me? Or is it one of those cities where some parts are bad, and some good?

you would be better off in monroe or loganville if you're thinking to go as far out as conyers

Believe me, I'd much rather live in Loganville. The ONLY reason I'm even considering it is because of the person I might be roommates with. Her job is in Hapeville, while a few potential jobs I might get are more in the Snellville/Lilburn area, and we're trying to figure an area thats not terribly far from either. Ugh! Now I could get a place by myself, but I don't think I'm ready just yet to do that.

OK I can't keep my nose out of this... HAPEVILLE there are only 4 words that come to mind about Hapeville, "stay the fuck away" I wouldn't live, work or even stop for a bite at Johny's Pizza in Hapeville. Well unless that is that your friend works at the post office. For some reason people are afraid of postal workers....

Others suggested that you bring plenty of guns with you. I believe that you should bring the gun that fits the area that you will be living or working. If you live or work in Marietta or Kennesaw a little derringer is all you need to get your point across. in the Lilburn area you will want to up grade to 357. Downtown during the day I would keep a P45 or Glock 9mm close by my side ( if you are forced to be downtown at night and you are not at the underground bring your hearse you can make some side money). In the Conley, Forest Park and Hapeville area stay close to your car. Keep a high capacity 9mm in a side holster but in your car you should keep something like an Uzi, AR15 or Russian AK47. My best suggestion is that you should not live within 4 or 5 miles of a pawn shop or porn shop. They are both put into the same type of shit hole area. Knowing what I know now I would avoid Lilburn like a miocardio infarction.

However if you wish to live on the east side of Atlanta Loganville isn't bad. North side I would plant my roots in Kennesaw. On the west side Lithia Springs and Austel were always good place's ( I still have friends out there). But for the love of god, don't move to the south side of Atlanta. Look at some real estate web sites and you will find houses in Forest Park for $15,000. There is a reason they are so cheap.

But anyway good luck in Atlanta.

Houses in Detroit, for $1 (you fix it up) or $1,000. I'M NOT KIDDING!

It really used to be a great city before the riots I hear. Now my dad won't go South of 8 Mile. I'm fucking nuts though I'm all over Detroit in the bad areas.

I also leave my car unlocked too. People won't go fucking near it. Best theft deterrent system EVER!

Loganville is where it's happening (we'd have to do some research, but I imagine we have the highest concentration of private hearse owners [individual owners, not individual cars - if that was the case Dave's house in North GA would trump us all] living within 20 minutes of one another). It's nice out here and it's close enough to everything if you don't mind driving for something to do on the weekends.
