  • Fuck this rain. And fuck repro parts companies...

And fuck parts makers who dont keep at least 10 or so of every product they make on a shelf in a warehouse somewhere. I ordered the front end parts for the T-Bird almost a month ago, and now they won't be here untill the 24th. And I think all the vendors go through this same company, cause there isn't a parts house or restoration company out there that has it or can get it in a relatively acceptible amount of time. Oh, they ALL have the listing for it, and they ALL "can get it"........grrrr.....It's like the 59 caddy thing all over again.

I found the heat riser.....finally..thats repro hardened steel, not soft like the original ones, for 90 fucking bucks. Watch, when I go to order that I may get it by october 2025.

Just think though - by the time you get the parts, the car will appreciate in value more and you aren't putting more miles on it (although every day you don't drive it is another day closer to selling it for something you find more interesting).

Well, the good part is that it's a challenge to me. I don't know much about old Fords, so I am actually learning some things for once. I have the inner workings of all Cadillacs from 1965-1976 tattooed on me metaphorically speaking, and Chevy's are common knowlage. If you manage to fuck up a Chevy you fail at life and should sell your tools and back away from the car like it was poisonous. Old Fords are different. And Mopars are just an overdesigned, over priced, and more often than not, unreliable pain in the fucking ass.

I haven't even toyed with the thought of parting with it, I even had a guy offer me a running driving 64 Caddy Sedan for it, and turned him down. I really wanna see what this car is going to be made of. It's musclecar-ish, yet retains the classic car feel and stylings. I feel like I have found my "niche". The happy middle line between old and cool, and overpowered and fast, out of a production vehicle that needs little or no custom fab work to make it a fast car. If I could fuck this car I would, it's just like...the balls deep kind of sexy.

But (hopefully) on the 24th, it will be ready to roll without me having to turn the wheel back and forth like a crackhead in a hot car just to keep it on the road, so hopefully we can plan some outing where I can bring it up for everyone to see. I have gotten alot of messages from people wanting to see her in person. She will still have a nasty exaust leak I am sure, but I have a few proffesssional opinions I want to get before I make a decision on that, but fuck it. I'll sound like crap but look ggggooooooddddddd.......:-)

Headers, that will keep you busy until all the rest of the parts show up or it will give you one more thing to wait for but it should make it sound better and fix that exhaust leak and possibly enhance performance, Oh well that's all I got.

I like the rain....except when I got to walk the dogs. Yard & garden was starting to really dry up.

Oh I normally don't mind the rain at all, but c'mon, there has to be a line somewhere. Is maybe 2 days of sun in here somewhere too much to ask for?....I'm fixing to start the custom car project of all time....turning the T-Bird into an Ark........
