I for one want to know what Jeffrey Hoole will be bringing to the Monster Bash this year?

Dammit, I've been called out. Well it won't be the 59. With luck it may be the Bluesmobile, I am working on the dash wiring now, then body and paint and reassemble. Then there is the not seen and known about 1962 VW convertible project that needs a generator and muffler install before getting tags and driving it. I have the parts for it but I have been concentrating on the Blumo. If all else fails it will be a Ford pickup....sad.....

The Bentley is buried in the garage, that is such a long term project the only way it will make it to Monsterbash is on a trailer like another car I remember. I guess it all Depends.

By the time he's done doing all this, he may be too pooped to come out.

OK, so the Blumo won't be there. It is running now but I am still doing bodywork, got the drivers side doors off and gutted for window channel replacement. Skimming and sanding the drivers side of the car at this time. Will bring the blender and pictures of the progress so far.

Okay Mr. Hoole...I'm about to give up.... what do I have to do to get these rear drums off the 59?
I have pulled, pushed, yanked, spanked, soaked in penetrating oil and smacked with a sledgehammer for a real good while but I cant break either of them loose? Am I missing some kind of trick here? They seem to be frozen on the spindle. WTF?

Yes sir, you're going to need a hub puller that bolts to the lugs and applies pressure to the center axle shaft. I have one, once the gland nut is off the whole drum should come off once the shoes are backed off. We will have to get together and give it a try.

EXACTLY the issue I amhaving with my '62. Got it to move about 1/4". Broke one puller so far.

                            Jeff -
you are correct - the one from auto zone fits the lug pattern but wont clear the spindle.
I can't find your number anywhere - If you can meet up today, it would be great if i could pick up that puller from ya -
                            I'm available all day 678 386 9673
If i don't get these drums off this weekend I'll be way behind schedule

I'd like to give a public thanks and mad props to Jeff Hoole (Ambulanced) for driving up to scenic Smyrna last night and helping pull the rear drums off the 59. After beating on them for the better part of an hour, they finally broke loose. This is the second time Jeff has come out to help with one of my cars at short notice and I am extremely grateful. Pat him on the back next time you see him. He'll be the snappy dresser in the Dodge Monaco.
