Hello, i finally got the pictures out of spam filter and joined your club, the pictures are bad, so let me fill in the details. her right rear panel has been replaced because of rust, the lights are present just not in the panel, her hubcaps are in the barn shiny and no dings, her front right panel also needs replaced and i have the panel the one on her has rust behind wheel, she also comes with a extra hood that has chrome down the middle. she has original owners manual in the plastic, cadillac floormats, spare tire, jack still in box in new condition, all headliners, interior excellant, 1 waterstain on passenger door, interior is blue brocade type fabric, all curtains and hardware, 1 flag holder for hood, rollers ,table and coffin holders intact, 501 motor, she has had flowmasters put on. and she would drive right now, but we don't know when or if any or the gaskets and seals have been replaced, her oil pressure is low and it may be the gauge but that is just too much risk to me to take off on a up hill 4 hour trip. i paid 1500.00 for her. did i get a good deal on her? it seems alot of folks have this model, but i really love her and just can;t wait to get her road ready.

ps. she is missing the rubber seal that goes between headlights and bumper does anyone have one?

    Welcome.
Not bad, the car has a lot of potential. I paid $1400 for mine & it had a blown tranny & seized motor & a hole is the passenger floor board that a basketball would fit through. Plus the front undercarriage was mangled from a high speed blow out. So, to me, $1500 & yours drives is a good deal. It took me 2 years to get mine to where it is now.
I find 72's are more common, not to many 73's around here, but it still looks straight & should be a great cars once done.
Tackle one piece at a time, I made my road safe first doing the undercarriage, then engine & tranny.

If you have any questions, I'll do what I can to answer them.

PS: Don't cut corners, I've restored 3 cars now & I learned the hard way that if you skimp on some things, they will come back to haunt you.

she is actually alot better then pictures show, her motor is good and strong and so is the tranny she has 59,000 miles on her, all she needs is the seals and gaskets changed along with hoses just in case. and the guy put a new oil pump on her but may have hooked it up wrong or her gauge is not working it shows low oil pressure then good oil pressure. the above reasons are enough for me not to try and drive her home it would take 4 hours to get home and on Ozark roads-(hilly and no shoulders-not a good place to break down). First she is getting under the hood stuff done, then i can drive her, she will need new tires soon, and then the paint job and all the chrome put back on, so that is not really alot of work to have her as new again. the only things missing is the rubber seal for headlights/bumper and i guess 1 flag holder missing. They use 2 on the cars, don't they? she comes with extra chrome and hood

i have made up my mind to put her back all original for now, no flames or rims for now, maybe window tint if the sun gets to be too much and paint her back blue, her crinkle top is fine. Must ad sound and would like a PA system(that may get me in trouble) and need a cool horn. Where do i get cool horns?

ps. i have never seen anybody drive a hearse around here, except funeral's of course. i will go over like a turd in a churn! even Conway with pop. 50,000 i have not seen one. i live 9 miles away and our town has about 5,000 pop. i am sure to get pulled over by our wonderful police force and searched, i need a urn with some dust to put somewhere for them to find, now i am being a badkitty wanting to bedevil them so! They just better leave me alone!

well it worked but they are all over. i may be repeating myself as i don't remember who all i told what about her. anyhoo she had rust just on the passenger side behind wheels, none on the left side(odd) her right rear panel has been replaced as you can see and he gave me 1 for the front right and also an extra hood(nothing wrong with the one on her except fade), the side lights are present but not in the back panel, her hubs are in the barn as some goon might jack them. the chrome pieces not on the car are in the barn also, with a few extra pieces, cadillac floor mats, original jack in box as new, owners manual still in plastic, spare tire behind seat, 501 cadillac motor i belive he said(59,000 miles on her), tranny good, she has low oil pressure which may be the gauge it seems to stick, don't know when her seals and gaskets/hoses have been changed, all curtains and hardware present, the holders for side window plaques present, 1 flag holder for hood, interior is a blue brocade with a waterstain on passenger door, headliners are perfect, interior lights all work, table ,rollers and coffin pins present, he put flowmasters on her and put a used set of tires on her(need new ones) she runs and sounds perfect and strong. no cracks on windows, she has a crinkle top, both bars present, she was blue. and somewhere down the line got painted black which is faded. she started life in Virginia, then went to a colored funeral home in Little Rock, AR i am the second private owner. Did i leave anything out? i look like a midget behind the wheel , i guess cause the tall windows..

i am going back blue on her and keeping her all original for awhile, except i want a system in her, pa system and a neat horn.

i guess her name is Simi from Sherrilyn Kenyons dark-Hunter series she is a demon girl that i love to read about.

Could you send a link to that? i would never find it otherwise, and have never been on myspace before. the main thing i do on the net is. ebay, shopping, or search information. i joined 3 clubs and the Phantom hearse club for the hotwheels, those are really neat for halloween displays.
