  • Looking for hearses to attend a Halloween mansion party in Cleveland Ohio -Sat Oct 27

I'm trying to get in touch with some people who own Hearses to attend a halloween party I am throwing in Cleveland Ohio on Sat. October 27th.
I have a super creepy house (1903 Queen Anne Victorian mini mansion: see www.davestack.com/house for pics) and think having some hearses show up would be super cool.

Also, the party is also about .5 miles away from the most haunted house in all of Ohio, the Franklin Haunted Castle. (google it if you want to see some creepy pics and read the horror stories of what went on there).

Do you know any clubs or people in the Cleveland area who I could contact or who might be interested?

Please send over info or contact me if you do. Thank you very much.

Space is no problem! I have a huge grass side lot where 10+ hearses could fit, along with 4 in the drive way and 2-3 around the actual house.
5-10 hearses would be ideal, but I would even be happy with even one.

I wanted to mention that anyone that comes is welcome to attend the Halloween party and mingle and have fun with everyone at the party.
Also, and that I will pay for your over night accommodations at the Cleveland Hostel which is located 3 blocks away from my house (walking distance).
This way you can enoy the party to it's fullest and have a place sleep if you are coming in from outside the area.

I'm expecting 200-300 people at this party! Additionally, if you want to do some sight seeing in Cleveland, my neighbor is the hottest/trendy area in town with over 15 different bars and restaurants within 1-3 blocks from my house. Also, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and downtown Cleveland is 1-2 miles from my house.

I've been to the flats, and Cleveland does indeed rock. Anyone who can should consider going.

Sadly, the flats have been gone for about 10 years. After the flats it was the The Warehouse district that was the big place to be, but now that has gone way downhill and not many people go there unless you are in college or 21 year old crowd. It is now my neighborhood (Ohio City) that is the hottest spot in Cleveland at the moment.
It is located 1 mile west of downtown Cleveland.

Scary Guy: You should work on lining up a crew of your hearse friends from Detroit and road trip down. I can guarantee you a great night of fun!
Check out some of the pictures from my last halloween bash in 2007. Check out pic #61 for the picture of the classic hearse I had at the party.

BTW, since you are front Detroit, Cleveland just opened a casino a few months ago (to steal business away from Detroit and other places that have long had a casino). If anyone is into gambling, it is open 24 hours.

Last time I was in Cleveland was around 12 years ago so that makes sense.

Unfortunately for the foreseeable future I'm working every weekend until the end of time.

Also gambling is just a tax on people who are bad at statistics, but it's good to hear that you guys have a casino now too. I like to see more just to piss off the ones that currently exist. They're running ads out here how three casinos are enough and to vote no to adding more, paid for by the current casinos.

One thing to bear in mind is that we, the hearse owning community, usually get lots of these kind of requests. Props to you for planning early!

if you have any level of interest in the hearse hobby, it might be worth your while to look into picking one up. You can generally get them fairly cheap. However, if you really are only interested it in a day or two out of the year, it's not going to be worth your while.

not a very convincing statement for staying in a hostel.

                        Love your house.

The corner turret reminds me of the Architecture of George Barber. I also live in a spooky old house in Wilson NC. If I wasn't so far away, I would definately want to show up.

Correct. As you can see, no one seems to be interested. A ticket to a party is simply not enough incentive to spend the time and gas money to provide you with a Halloween decoration. If however you were willing to PAY an owner a rental fee and mileage, you might get some interest.
