  • getting a new car...

but it's not a hearse. i've driven my 18 year old Buick Roadmaster daily for 5 years now... and it's been a really great car... but i've just been having the itch to upgrade to something new. and when GM advertised a lease deal i coudn't pass up, i pulled the trigger. going to a dealer all the way in Dallas to pick it up.

i'm gonna keep y'all in suspense until i bring it home and post pics... anyone care to guess what it will be?

and also, i'm sad to say if anyone is interested in a 92 Roadmonster Limited with 151,000 miles and still going strong (everything works... from the power antenna to the auto AC... and it even has a fresh trans rebuild), i am asking $2,250 OBO.

Nice car. My daily driver is a 94 Roadmaster wagon. Also have a 93. My hearse is a 95 Roadmaster, so you can tell I like them a lot.
Good luck on the new acquisition!

If you are picking it up this weekend, come out to the Texas Frightmare Weekend and stop by the Hearse & Shock Rod Show on Saturday! I'll be there in my "nekkid" 61 M+M...

church--yeah we love the roadies too. one of our hearses is one as well. i should have gotten a RMW for my daily driver. the sedan is awesome, but i'm just a wagon kinda girl. i really wanted to get a CTS wagon, but it's just out of my price range. i'm hoping maybe i can pick one up when my lease is up tho.

Boogeyman--oh damn! that's right. we were only planning to be in dallas from about 11-1pm on Friday... but i'll let Scott know in case he wants to stay

well, here's the new ride! ok, so the weather here is totally crappy today, but i had to go out and give my new baby a quick wash and snap a few pics. here's my new beater: a 2010 Buick LaCrosse.

the good thing about the LaCrosse is that its Cadillac luxury at a Buick price. we first saw the LaCrosse up clase at Epcot's GM Test Track, actually. they had one here at the auto show in 2009, but it was all locked up and you couldn't get a good look at the interior... which is what sold this car for me. once we sat in one at Disney World, i was very impressed. then at the auto show this year they had one you could sit in and i was definitely considering the LaCrosse as a contender if i couldn't afford the Caddy. so, here we are and now i have a kick ass beater!! woohoo!!

this is a base model CX with the 3.0L and it's pretty macked out. the only option i got on the car is convenience pkg #1 which included remote start, dual zone climate, bluetooth, power passenger seat, etc. pretty sweet for under 30K.

What's up with all the NHRA license plates? NHRA sucks, lol. Nice ride though.
