Well after seeing quite a few different versions of casket trailers, I've decided to steer clear of that idea. I caught a glimpse of one of those motorcycle casket carrying trailers and thought that might be a cool concept. At 5grand a pop buying one isn't going to be an option, so I'm considering building one instead. Got a few pictures of the old horse and carriage ones, gonna go off that look to pull behind my hearse. Tell me what ya think? Good idea/Waste of time?

Go for it. I like my casket trailer.
Just make it good, I've seen several that were half-assed.
I know buying them is expensive, but building one gives you the advantage of adding your own personal touches. But building them can be expensive too. My Casket-Que trailer cost me $5,000 & took around 500 hours to build. But, it was well worth it.
See it at: www.kaosfuneralcars.com/cremator.html
Just post pictures, be interesting to see your vision.

A basic trailer may not be as expensive. My burners & assemblies, liners, custom lights & rims cost the most. If I kept it as a box/utility trailer, It would of been $1,500-$2,000.
I got my trailer frame as a barter, I removed some weeds & trash & got the basic frame as payment.

That's exactly what I did for Elvira. 1800's style fashioned after Boot Hill Express. used and old fold out camp trailer for the frame and running gear, utilized 26 inch wire motorcycle wheels. complete with antique brass lanterns for lights, all gloss black lacquer, blood red carpet and curtains, plexiglass side and rear door glass....very awesome if I do say so myself......not quite finished yet, will post some pics when done....
