Does anybody know a pull out table is mounted in a hearse? I talked to somebody about a hearse they have and it has a pull out table, they are going to remove it and make the hearse into a drag car. My friend want the table, that is why I want to know how to remove it without destroying it.

hi there, I have 84 cadillac s&s victoria with a sliding table. on mine it was very easy open one of the side rear doors. there should be a panel that you lift up where the spare tire or the church truck used to go. lay on your back go under the table where the spare tire area is with a flashlight and look up at the top end of the table the part that is close to the divider glass behind the front seat. mine has along 8 inch bolt with a castle style nut on the end of it. remove the cotter pin ,,,unscrew the catle nut,, when you pull out the table it should come to a stop..lift the part that is closest to the divider glass up until the bolt clears the rest of the frame frome underneath. it is VERY VERY HEAVY!!! the bottom of my table is just greased rails underneath the length of the bottom of the table . and by lifting the one end it comes out easy. the end of my table has a chrome bar on it that you pull it to the left and it unlocks so you should be able to pull the table out.. I hope that this helps you . I think I have only seen 2 different stlye tables that slide out

I didn't look at the inside of the hearse at all. I will go back over there soon and I might take some pictures. I don't know how quick they hope to have the table out. I will tell them what everybody tell me and hope it comes out easy. Thanks for the help.

Mine came without one, but after a little modification, I found a table that fit. I strapped the corners and picked it up with a hoist, because these things weigh about 250#. Then I put in the echelon bolt with a large allen wrench, and that was about it.
Love comes and goes, but a back injury is forever. Believe me, I know. Be careful lifting.
