Need little help 66

I don't have a project... well maby.
I doubt im in the right area to ask this question but I didn't see anywhere else to fit it.
Im thinking about buying a 66 Cadillac hearse
Here is a pic of it


he's asking 1k for it. Has some rust but nothing major & runs awsome. I don't know much about hurse;'s Is this a good deal?

A thousand for that? Seems good to me. But any 40 something year old car will need a lot of work and some money? Are you commited?

They will always have more rust than you think. More so on the roof and floor boards.

If you are looking to do a sort of "rat rod" theme then that car is perfect. If you want to restore it and have a prisitne collector example, then RUN!

Where is it...Oh I mean, not bad price... Money talks, bullshit walks, take 100's when you go talk to the owner I would start with 7 of them in your left front pocket, one in your right front pocket, and one in each back pocket.. See how many pockets you empty when the deal is done.

Beware. I paid $1300 for my 76 side loader. It runs like a top, and has been from Tucson to Dallas, and several trips to Vegas. Although some of it is custom electrical, I have nearly $8000 in it, mostly in parts, and I haven't touched the rust yet.

the car isnt worth 1k. the rust and repair work needed on that car is a pretty great deal more than nothing major. its the second time its up on cl, and is located in trinity,fl. the seller keeps dropping the price, and seems pretty desperate....im sure you could get it for 7-800 tops. ive been watching it, but its not what im looking for....however if you do get it, ill buy the rims from you.

What are you willing to pay? And can/ do you do mechanical or body work. If you can afford to put money into it, why not? I bought my 63 Duplex knowing I was paying too much for him, but thats what I was looking for. A 63.

You can sit on your ass and wait, or start working. Just look for very expensive work on the car, look for a rusted roof.

Seriously? We must not be looking at the same car. I think 1k is fair, and if he can get it for 600 he's even better.

Granted this is the only pic I've seen, but the car doesn't look that bad.

I've fixed up coaches in worse shape than that before, and spent more than 1k to get the coach in the first place.

It all depends on how much you want to do yourself.

Hell I payed $2000.00 8 years ago for my '73 i've spent at least $4000.00 sence then and i'd trade for that one. and thats with me doing all the work myself. I'd say follow Highbars advice and then talk to me.
