  • Light my fire

I'm in the process of installing a DVD player in the back of my Hearse (about a 19" screen where the divider goes behind the driver seat) and need a DVD/video of something like an open crematory fire. I have a 'fireplace' video already but it doesn't really have the look I'm going for. Looking more of just the flames (no wood) with maybe a brick outline. Even if someone has an old coal furnace that can take a video of the open door flame might work (just need a few seconds - can always loop the vid and transfer to DVD). Was also thinking of maybe even a movie with a scene of one I can download.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

You could clip the video with an editor, such as Sony Vegas, cut out the fireplace and keep just the flames. Or you could open the door on a wood stove and shoot that for a while. Or, you could take a still picture of a crematory door, cut out just the door opening, put it in as a background image, and put the flames inside it as a foreground. Or, you could go down to the local funeral home and ask them if you could shoot a film the next time they cremate a body. Just don't do it in Arizona, or they'll send you to a mental hospital.

There is a CGI movie called Haunted Castle

The whole movie has several cool scenes to loop.
