Ok.. so my '79 3-way acquired some body damage and I am not having any luck finding parts... the biggest thing is the back door on the left side.. the top hinge casting is broken and and I just can't find one.... so I start to think modify the damn thing...Ok I am no body man but I am thinking cut the rear side doors, roof, floor, and frame, out and bring the rear qtr up to the center post and stick it back together... like a 2-door.. any thoughts.. would like to see what it would look like if someone could do this in photo shop it might be interesting to see.

Alternatively, have a foundry cast a replacement hinge piece. They can take the old one and reproduce it. Might also try contacting CW coaches, www.cadillacville.com, or Ronnie Grubbs of Phantom Coaches in Long Beach, CA. They all occasionally part out rusty or damaged hearses and may have just what you need.
