  • DIY name plates

I didn't think of this. I stole the idea from Rick (JustGrim).
    Materials needed:
    -3" letters
-flat piece of wood (length depends on your "name")
    -craft popsicle sticks
    -hot glue or craft glue
    -gloss black spray paint
-chrome spray paint (not silver, but chrome it's under $5 a can)
Everything can be bought at Michael's craft store or you can shop around and save a few dollars.
Set the flat piece on the floor and letters above it. Measure how long the flat piece needs to be and how far you want want to space the letters out. Then you can cut the flat piece and start glueing the letters to it. Hot glue works the best and easiest, but craft glue will work. After the letters are glued, glue the popsicle sticks to the back of the letters. It will give the letters support. After all glue is dried paint the back black. The reason to the back first is over spray on the front. After the back is painted, might want to do a couple of coats of paints. After the paint is dry paint the front chrome. The back can be painted chrome, but it might make the popsicle sticks more noticeable.
After everything you should have under $25 in your name plates.Hope this saves people money that can be better spend on their hearse.

Here are mine. I used cardboard on the back, I should have used popsicle sticks.
