My father-in-law is being forced to sell his Willys army jeep due to illness and medical expenses. He is asking at this point he will gladly take $4,000, but he is firm on that price.
The best information we can obtain tells us that it is a 1955. We know it is a Willys and that is is a military model, not a civilian clone of a military vehicle. We drove it about a year ago, but unfortunately the transmission is in desperate need of a rebuild. The jeep comes with the tranny rebuild kit, the service manual and several new parts. Jeep is in great condition: no dents, no rust, solid floor pan. Could use a new paint job.
Please PM me if you're interested in this piece of U.S. military history. Would be a great restoration project, but we enjoyed riding in parades and taking the kids for rides down to the creek on the hunting lease.
Jeep has been stored in our barn in south west Georgia since the transmission went out. I can provide more pics if anyone is interested.
