With my current job situation in turmoil i've decided to offer my coach for sale, and willing to take a 1977 & up nice coach in trade plus a cash difference. Working for a Honda supplier has always been good $ and benefits, but we're cut down to 3 day work weeks now with no end in sight.
My coach is a 1951 Cadillac Superior limo-style end loader hearse. There are only 5 known in existence built in this configuration. Included is documentation proving this from it's original build tag. It has the 331 V-8 and 3-speed manual transmission. After some effort, a tune up, and new water pump & battery the car runs excellent & can be driven around my shop. The master cylinder needs to be rebuilt to get the brakes up. There is no exterior rot or holes anywhere, and I can provide details of it's condition upon request as it does need restoration. You can see in the photos it's well preserved inside & out.
All evidence points to it originally being ordered by the U.S. Navy, as the original color was an odd color gray. In the 1960's it was used as an ambulance by a local fire department. Late 1960's it was bought by a local car collector where it remained for another 35 years. It's always been stored inside & is in exceptional condition. Here's a link to my Flickr album for a full set of photos: http://www.flickr.com/photos/hotrodd...7607667384799/
I'm looking to sell it outright or take a nice 1977 & up Landau hearse on trade plus cash difference. I realize shipping will play a factor in the cash difference so if you think you'd like to own my coach, talk to me on a possible deal. I'm in northern Ohio (Bucyrus) so reply to this thread or PM me for details & specific photo requests. Cash price is $10,000 or best offer, and the new Torque-Thrust wheels & BF Goodrich tires are negotiable in a deal as well. I like to trade around so make me an offer...
