More details:
Coach exceeded my friend's expectation in person. This is original paint and has never been messed with. Also confident that the undercarriage has the original undercoating. There are a couple small areas of rust that are "measured in centimeters."
Didn't get to drive this or even hear it run. No longer licensed and no battery. Given everything else that the seller has stated as being truthful, my friend that viewed and myself have no reason to believe otherwise that it does indeed run, although now for whatever reason there is no gas tank.
This '59 Superior is in Mexico. Part of the reason the seller wants prepayment is because of the cost and time associated to transport to the US. That's right - he's willing to organize logistics to a point of entry in either Laredo, TX or San Diego, CA. He is not about to undertake such a trip only to have someone not show up or try to negotiate price after doing so. That $7k price is *more* than fair and this amount of pictures should quell naysayers as there are no surprises or scams.
Now because the seller thought this was going to be a quick sale, he had the time and was going to deliver the coach through customs and repatriotize this '59 himself - taking Mexican logistics off the buyer's mind. Work is picking up however and he may not have the time to do so. $7k hasn't changed but if he can't afford the time to do so personally, a small transport charge may occur. (No, this doesn't change my finder's fee.) Even better? My friend that took all these pictures (who has references, btw) can act as liason if someone is uncomfortable sending payment. That means wiring money to a US bank account so there is recourse. What more can you ask for???
Again, the remaining 174 pictures are here:
I do not think this will last long now, assuredly. Good luck!
