There were a few companies that used to do motorhome conversions on commercial chassis'. The coach builders were not the only companies to use them(commercial chassis).

          From the ad:
Awesome 58 Cadillac ambulance/hearse chassis that has a motorhome built on it by Superior Coach Sales Company.

Yea STODD i laughed about that too! There were several camper "conversion" companies in the 60's & 70's such as "Tweety Coach" that went around buying up old hearses to make into campers... but Superior was NEVER involved...

Used to be a '58 ambulance that had its roof cut off right behind the front seat sittin' out front of a muffler shop in Claremore, OK.....pissed me smooth off every time I had to drive by it......

What really hurts is that the 58's were a single body year. And they only made about 840 of them. (that's coach's and ambulances combined.) So seeing something likes this...

                        Ugh..
