I'm thinking of trading my 76 Superior for an empty box truck or cargo van; something that makes money instead of taking it. If it is diesel, that would be a real plus, as long as it isn't GM 350 diesel. Even Isuzu, Mercedes, etc. might be considered. I will have to hook up the radio and a few things. I can't do much else, so I need something halfassed dependable, at least, but I have a few parts like speedometer cable, light lenses, upholstery that need to be done. There is lots of room for negotiation. The hearse has been driven on the freeway lately, with no problems, except that the wipers seem to come on when they want to. I have an extra switch, and switches just pop out.
Somehow, I think that Tony may have some money stashed away, because he wants to buy the 2004 Mercury (I bought it with 401k money). If he does, I could buy a smaller, newer hearse that gets better gas mileage. It's OK if you live somewhere, but an old hearse out in the middle of nowhere is going to leave you in Meetless Tuesday, because you can't afford gas as it keeps creeping up. Maybe I should put a diesel in the hearse?
