  • 1976 Cadillac M-M Citation in Oregon Salvage yard...

Who needs part off this beauty??? Visors, curtain rods, rear bumper, tail lamps, landau bars, opera lamps, dizzy, and hood hinges are missing. rollers are nice, no bier pins. If anyone needs parts I'll be happy to go back and yank them, just send me a PM. Check out the for sale sign, no wonder they couldn't sell it! What the hell isPhoto008.jpgPhoto011.jpgPhoto006.jpgPhoto007.jpgPhoto009.jpgPhoto010-blank number.jpg a Herese?

That's a tear jerker seeing that in a junkyard. The Citation I'm working on dilligently looks like crap compared to that. Only a dumbass would put a herese like that in there.

I'm trying to resist calling the number on the sign just to see what sort of gomer owned this car... The yard it's in probably gave him $300-$400 for it. I would have pulled $500 out of my ass for it! Maybe sold some internal organ.... I'm going back for the front seat which is black vinyl and red velvet!

That red interior really jingles my change. 6000 mile round trip to get it would be an adventure. Doesn't look like cars rust too terrible out there either. That have power windows? Once the door panels come off mine for rehab, they aren't going back w/o power windows put in.

I think it did have power windows... but can't remember for certain. Should I investigate?

Thanks for asking. It's probably way to much hassle and expense to try and get that stuff across the country. I'll make pork chops from pig shit like I always have. It is nice to admire though. Right now I have a lot more time and parts than money. I'm no Hoodlum Rocky, but I can make stuff that looks and works okay out of anything I can dig up usually.

I know why it didn't sale the landau bars were mounted upside down. Well maybe not, but...
Bu seriously. If you have space, strip it completely. All the molding, roller, door panels, etc.

Headed out to pull some more parts from the "Herese". Any other takers on parts?

I scored the seat, rear dome lamp switch, and some other tidbits. Anyone need 71-76 glass? This car has the partition and power windows. The windshield is PERFECT! Also has perfect rollers and scuff plates...

Any thoughts on how a windshield could be shipped across the country w/o breaking it? My herese has got the crack problem. The more I look @ that the more I'm trying to rationalize a road trip ala Smokey and the Bandit.

I have heard the shipping is around $300, because it has to be crated. It's best if you can find one in driving distance.

I have a glass guy I use that may be able to help. Last time I shipped a windshield it was over $100.00. Lemme know if you wanna give it a go. It's risky though, might break coming out, or in shipping, then your out the price of the windshield, removal, and shipping too! Pilkington has them for around $700.00 shipped to you....

Yeah, I'd probably be out of my mind to think it'd survive the trip. I'll end up buying a new one @ some point. Hearses are as scarce as hens teeth around here to scavenge anything off of. Hell, I bet I don't see one in a year that is just a private car. People are not into them for some reason like down south.

There are not many hearse people around here. I know of one person that lives about 20 minutes away everybody else is over an hour away. I have never seen one in a junk yard. That's why this site is great, you might just find somebody close that you would never meet otherwise.
