  • ELC height control

....Just wondered if anyone has/had the same problem with running low at the back..? its an '87 S&S with the compressor up front which starts as it should, but the back end dosen't move... and sits about an inch lower at the drivers side; Wondering if its the ELC height thing..? and if you know where to get one... not many Cadillac hearses in Lancashire...! Is it worth repalcing the shocks with conventional shocks, and doing away with the air system...? if so what type..?

Just as an idea it sits about 22" from the ground on the drivers side to the wheel arch, and 23" on the other, is it about right ?, and it dosent go up or down when started... It has just been through our MOT test at the local ambulance station garage (its the only place with a big enough ramp..!), and these are really strict with anything on vehicles being wrong, and if the shocks had been knackered, it would have failed the annual test, it tends to 'wallow' along, and I've to take it really slow over any kind of dip, as it can bottom out... plus with it being an inch lower on the drivers side it kinda leans over....Just a bit strange as I had never noticed the ride before until about 3 weeks ago going to shows, and it just seemed to catch bumps in the road... British roads are notorious for being bad though.

any thoughts/suggestions, prices for bits, where to get them are appreciated..

    Thanks Andy.
