it was a little tricky. i had to depress the coil spring and then pry it off, but i got them changed.

Now i just need to check the refrigerant level in the AC system. That, at least, i can handle.

I have been getting the 69 ready as well,
        Changed the oil
        checked rear end lube
        greased all fittings
checked brakes, replaced 1 wheel cylinder and flushed the brake fluid
        checked all tire pressures
        checked all fluids
checked belts for wear and tightness
cleaned carburetor and checked air filter
filled tank adding Seafoam fuel treatment
bought an extra points and condenser set just in case
replaced missing passenger side wiper arm
put decent tool kit in storage area with random extra small parts, hose clamps, plug wires, spark plugs, electrical connectors, and other stuff

I should be set for this trip as long as the transmission holds. It has been working fine but you never know. It is the original 1969 never been rebuilt trans.

today i fixed lighting in the casket compartment. there were some wiring issues back there anyway, and i fixed my switch so i can have the lights on independent of whether or not the back door is open.

also fixed purple wigwags in the rear.
