1955 Superior VIN location

Steve, '54-'56 Superiors had their build plates mounted in passenger front door jam.

Thanks Atti for the Superior build plate. Does this mean that Cadillac does not stamp the VIN on the right side chassis ?

Stamped aluminum Cadillac build plate is in same location, top of driver's side cowl near wiper, as you've shown. Also, matching Cadillac VIN is stamped onto top of driver frame rail behind core support.

Cadillac likewise used a plastic tag with printed VIN on backside of driver door jam that I have not seen used by Superior.
