  • 1975 Cadillac hearse possible suspension options

So quick question I want to run by the other members who may have some experience in this area. I am trying to figure out if it is possible to replace my leaf springs for something that will be lighter and possibly better riding than a 30+ year old pieces of metal strapped together. I have seen other builders as in the case of "Fast n Loud" replaced the leafs on the Bandit car with a shock type.
Any thoughts on a option that could handle the weight of a hearse?

    Thank you

I run air bag suspension in mine. I ditched the rear leaf suspension and built control arms from scratch. I also modded the heck out of the front, and narrowed everything front and rear, so I could get 10" wide wheels to tuck all the way around. I also did 4 wheel disk brakes. Everything about it is better. Now it handles great and stops great.

And the best part is, it lays out flat on the ground, and drags the body on the freeway, throwing 60 feet of sparks out the back, lol.
