  • How fucked am I?

Ok, so I am not really fucked, but there is a high probability that my good friend is.

I helped him get this hearse out of Montrose Colorado, which is a town in the middle of fucking nowhere. The story goes a guy in the hearse club sold it to this horse feltcher in Montrose who never paid it off, so we basically bought it via third party. We were advised the car had a bad bearing in the wheel. No big deal right? That is like a 10 minute fix.

Well, as it turns out "Bad bearing" is apparently inbred spooky mountain hick jargon for "Totally fucked up eight ways from sunday and having absolutely NOTHING to do with the bearing AT ALL". The moron advised us that the lower bushing failed, so we had the car towed back here to be fixed (by me) and when it got here it was more than apparent that the lower control arm bushing didn't fail, the asshole HAD to have hit something for the amount of damage, busted the arm off, then DROVE HOME on it all fucked up.

Where we are at right now is that he managed to bust the bolt out of the mounting point on the frame, along with about half an inch of metal in every direction. So the question is, is this even fixable, being in some weird ass area of the frame and all? See the link below for pictures.

Incidentally as my way of saying thanks, as in "Thanks for lying to us about the condition of the car, then leaving out the fact that you actually had a collision in it" I plan on taking the plates off of the car that are still registered to this ass clown in Montrose. I am thinking I may put them on my hearse, then go downtown for an eight hour tour of parking in handicapped spaces, parking in loading areas and expired parking meters. Nothing says "Thanks for the ass rape and the same to you buddy!" quite like a cadre of parking tickets in your name because you're too dumb to cancel your license plates after you screwed someone on a car sale.

Any suggestions are welcome. I am not a fan of this car already, just from what a pain it's been so far, but hopefully it will soon be out of my hair!

Easy fix if you have a welder. PM me if you like.

Piece of cake if you can afford $99 for one of these.

Here is a transmission crossmember I built from scratch. All the welding was done with a $200 "harbor frieght" welder. The tubes are for the exhaust pipes to run through so they don't go under the frame. This will be important, because eventaully the car will lay frame whin it is done.

                    WOW!

That has got to be the cleanest garage floor Ive ever seen! On mine at present I have.....Oil, treanny fluid, power steering fluid, liquid latex, grass clippings, oil and water based wood stain, rear end grease and latex paint. And I just cleaned it!

Anyhooo, Zac I dont think you've got too major of a project, you basically can fix it with a welder like everyone else mentioned. Im just chiming in mainly to agree.

                    Alex!

Zach what is it with you and hearses? If you're not trying to get it down some huge ass hill, the belts breaking, or you are breaking something, or you are getting your windows shot out.
