no...not that kinda tranny....not like straycat...I mean transmission. I do believe that my 76's tranny may be out on its last legs. In a little overzealous trip i took in her after being excited to drive her again i think i may have burned it up being she was sitting for a few years and was perhaps gummed up. now she has a hard time geting into gear and i have to wiggle the column to try to get her into 2nd...and then she is is fine. i think it may be time for a fresh transmission though. What year cars can i use for a replacement? Is it all GM turbo 400s? Is that even what i have? LOL

Yes it is a turbo 400, and any year from 68-76 will work.67 back has a smaller bellhousing, and after 76 are shorter overdrive trannys. The 75-76 ones seem to be smoother shifting, the 69/70 ones seem to be the most bullet proof. What the difference is i dunno.......
But yeah, bob, go back to playing hide and go fuck yourself. My webcam audience craves more of your entertainment, and i need to get PAID nigga!

Before you get nuts on rebuilding it, try this.....
Change the fluid and filter.
Actually, scratch that....
Email Zac first, and aks him how may trannys he had that he thought where bad, then when he would call me I would tell him to change the fluid and filter and I think with one exception it did the trick.
You may even want to change it a few times but the difference on those filters between being ok and being clogged to death is almost nothing. My 67 drove fine one morning and 5 miles from the house it wouldnt hardly move.
Changed the filter and fluid and that was 7 years ago.
I would certiainly give that a shot first anyway.
Alex!
