  • Dash Switches???

Hey all, had a quick question thought somebody here might be able to help. I have a 66' Caddy Superior 3-way. There is a switch on the lower left driver's side of the dash. It appears stock, and is just a simple up and down toggle switch. Haven't had the time to trace the wires through the dash and all that so I just thought I'd take a stab in the dark and ask here first. Anybody? ......

My previous 2 hearses had that, it was to turn on the backup lights to act as cargo lights when the car is parked.

My S+S has the same thing, helps in loading caskets at night.

The switch I found on mine was for the yellow bubble caution/warning light on the roof - which has since been removed

From what I've seen usually S & S are the ones that have the switch to turn on the "reverse" / cargo lights. I saw a couple of hearses that had a rocker style switch under the dash for the "Wig Wags" / alternating high beams.

I've only seen the wig wags on Superiors so far. My neighbor has that on hers.
