Remove vinyl from top

I need to remove my vinyl top on my coach it has cracks & splits in it can any one give me any tips on removing it ?
After I get it off I want to have it rhino guarded.

Yes, I think we have all faced the vinyl top crisis. All I can say is that you will probably be very upset at what you find under there. In order for a spray-on bedliner product to adhere well, the metal underneath needs to be repaired and prepped. The bodywork on my roof exceeded $3k. The good news is that I will never have to worry about it again.
