Ambulance lights

Anybody know anything about the ambulance lights I have circled in the following pictures...





I'm wondering if there is any resource to buy these assemblies? I like the double lamp fixtures in the first picture the best. I was also wondering if the single lamp fixture in the second picture was using the standard taillight lens from a '59 caddy?

I was thinking, if I could get some dimensions of the double lamp fixtures, I might be able to make a model and have them made in fiberglass, then use the '59 caddy taillight lenses.

Any thoughts? Suggestions?

you see them on ebay now and then and they are not cheep

I believe both of those are quite a bit larger than Caddy tail lights. I know the singles are, not sure how the duals stack up to the Caddy lights.

Here's as set I saw at a swap meet last year. I don't see the price in my pic, but if I remember right it was $350 for the set, so you're looking at $700 - $1400 to do all four corners.

Technically those are the singles, So I believe if I was going to go with those I would just need 2 pair (1 for each corner). I know the picture I used for the double lamp fixture was not very good. Here is a better picture of the double fixture...



What I would like to be able to do is find at least 1 so that I could make a mold and have them duplicated in fiberglass. But then I guess I would have to find the lenses as well, if the '59 caddy tailights wouldn't work.

You could contact John the Siren Man. He has a web page that I'm sure you can find, and he actually only lives a block away from me, but I've never been to his house.
