  • URGENT QUICK QUESTION

So many of you may of seen im tryin to sell my Coach, but that might actually not be the case right now. I might actually be in the process of reserecting it soon. But one of the shops i took it to said i broke the Cradle Pin, part of the stabilizer bar, and the strut, now is there such thing as a cradle pin?

i dunno. i would plug the make and model of your car into google as well as cradle pin and see what you find.

That's what I said, then I told him to ask here.

Maybe it's just something they've been using since "flux capacitor" stopped working... but it certainly does sound like a legitimate part.

            Cradle bolts

These are more unique to Cadillacs if I'm not mistaken. You can also do a search just on cradle bolts. One of the sites I like to recommend for technical info is www.cadillacforums.com/forums

Great site that has a large group of people willing to assist with questions on caddy's.

This topic here referes to a newer model, but still talks about this area of the caddy:

Ight well i will say thanks for all the input, i found out whats goin on with it, took it to a shop, and they called me back said theyll tell me whats up when i get there.... not good... lol so what they told me is the frame is soo rusty that they couldnt get it on there one lift so they tryed puttin it on there hoist, wouldnt fit cuz the hoist is at such an angle. but took it to a few other shops and the one said my cradle is rusty, and in sumspots its rusted straight threw, so i need to do that, the struts, and stabilizer pins

So long story short ( to late i know lol) i am in search of a Cradle for a 1986 Caddy FWD Deville, so if any one happens to have one layin around, lol

How about fabricating a new Cradle? It may be cheaper than finding one.
                As a suggestion

Well as an update lol, i have actually found a few cradles, luckily, lol. I called two junk yards, both have em, ones for 85 bucks and the other is 100 bucks. And my uncle who is also a fellow hearse enthusist ( he owns two) works at one of the junk yards, and he knows someone that will be able to swap out the cradles, so Miss Vicky ( my hearse lol) might at sumpoint be on the road to recovery, and soon to terrorioze the local's,

I was looking for pictures of the damage. There is a lot of talent on this board. Some one might be able to help.
