  • How much trouble am I in for?

Well, I'm getting a new rear floor put in Pearl and stopped in today to check things out...
The guy has welded the floor frame, body supports, & wheel wells RIGHT TO THE FRAME. (no body mounts)
While everything is really solid, Do you think I'm gonna have a flex or vibration problem with my fiberglass body?

Your chances here are 50/50. "Technically" if the guy welds the everlovin hell out of it you should be good, but another factor is how and where you drive. You go over alot of speed bumps in your neighborhood or one you frequent? Railroad tracks? If you go over such things on a daily basis you stand a much larger chance of body flex breaking and/or weakening the welds, then you will have vibration, creaking noises, all sorts of not necessarily detrimental, but severely annoying things happen. The rubber body to frame mounts are there for a reason......
