How much pressure is there in a tranny cooler line?

I have a leak in one of my tranny cooler lines. It's probably crack or worn spot can't tell due to the spot of the problem. I'm going to try and remove the lines this weekend for inspection.

Can I repair this line buy cutting and splicing a rubber hose of similar size and use hose clamps to hold it?

If that won't work can i use a compression fitting or something else?

Yes you can use a hose like fuel line (resistant to tranny fluid) and small hose clamps, not alot of pressure on tranny cooler lines.

You can also use a compression fitting... Using fuel line will work fine only thing I would concern myself with is accessibility to repair area as they do sell regular Hydraulic line such as p/s return line that would actually be the best on vehicle repair. If you are taking the line out... Just bend a new one and be done with it.. Use fuel line to isolate in the areas that could rub......
