Swap AIR pump for alternator?

On the 500 engine, has anyone every tried removing the smog pump and installing an alternator in its place? I have an extra one, and am wondering how much of a pain it would be to make the bracketry.

Not as easy as upgrading the original one for a 200+amp with single wire hook up.

I got a 240 amp for $200 from them, much easier than the dual setup I was going to do.

Did it come with a V-pulley? The one on Ebay is set up for serpentine.

Unfortunately, the $200 or more is going to be cost prohibitive. I spent that much at the ER last night, and I'm still not done. Maybe somebody has some pics of the bracketry to show me; otherwise, I'll have to crawl underneath and pull the pump.

When you order they ask, they sent me both pulleys for no additional charge

I have a 240 amp alternator and it works great. I tried bypassing the smog pump and running it off my alternator because my smog pump bracket broke and I couldn't find one. It worked but I went through 2 alternators so I just found the bracket. I guess they kept burning up or something.
