Question about the VIN on 1968 Cadillac Hearse

So this may or may not be a stupid question but where is the VIN number on my 1968 Cadillac Superior Hearse? Before I get any respones...Yes I have checked the door jam, Yes I have checked the plates under the hood by the cowl, Yes I have checked by the radiator, and it is not on there. So any ideas? Thanks!

I may be wrong but I think '68 was the first year of the dash plate. stand by the driver's fender and look at the bottom right corner of the dash, there should be a rectangular indention with the vin on it.

They did that for a few years, like I said I THINK that started in '68.

CORRECTION!! It was there thanks Chace! Yeah the first time I looked I couldn't find it. But then I thought hmmm I wonder, so I went back out and yeah its there but due to age its dirty and rusted a little so really hard to see but its there. Thanks again!

Like I said I thought 68 was the first year of that, they made a few changes that year like the hood is slightly longer than the 67 because of the "Hidden" winshield wipers.
