Taking off chrome

Can anyone tell me a good technique to taking off the chrome around the back window and windshield of my 1975 MM hearse? I am trying to lay down a new truck bed liner top and I dont want to mess up my chrome.

there is a special tool you need for removing the trim. you should be able to get it at most auto parts stores. you have to insert it under the trim and use it to pry loose the trim clips

yes that's mine and dead_ed here on the board made it for me. i'm not sure if he has access to a machine shop right now, but you should hit him up.
