I have an 87 model cadillac hearse and im starting to have trouble with the electric quadrajet. My question is can I change the electronic carburetor for another brand of carb? I dont mind changing the distributor for a mechanical advance distributor but is there anything else that electric carb controls? Thanks for any help.

It should run fine w/o the feedback carb. Check engine light will be on though. Gotta get the t/v cable to the trans hooked up right & adjusted properly or it'll grenade in short order. -
