Chassis Question

Ok, so if im not mistaken Cadillac hearses stopped having commercial chassis-es in the mid 80's, like 86' or something, so my question is why is it when im getting parts for my 90' why do they ask me if its a commercial chassis or not, already knowing that its full size RWD? Did they still put some Broughams on a commercial chassis in 90' and beyond for limo applications or such?

My understanding is the last were made by GM in 1984.
