  • Pulled a windshield off a 64 Limo today.

Pics to come, posting from "the compound". When I am back in VA and at work, I will post up the pics of the windshield and the car. It was a 64 Limo, had no real reason to be in the yard. This is the same yard in PA I found a 64 limo last year, but a tree had come down on it crushing the roof and all the glass. I was with 3 buddys, mostly I was pulling saab parts, (got nice rear leather for my 85 SPG). We wandered into the old car section, saw an older saab 96. Then while looking for caddys I spotted the limo with a perfectly intact windshield. We stripped the mouldings and cut the gasket, myself and my buddy paul pushed it out with our feet, and Jeff caught it and pulled it out and back. Paul and I carried it up the hill and out. I am planning on listing in on CL locally, and I will list it here as well. I know most folks here are in the midwest? or the deep south. I need to get an idea of what I can ask for this thing, $1G, $3G? I will probably start on DC craigslist for $3G The shield has a bronze tint to the upper section.(why cant i post this in paragraphs?)

How were the front fenders? Pyro has been looking for a '63/'64 CC pair.

Did you also grab the outer windshield molding - or at least the A pillars? They're becoming more difficult to come by. How about the rear window mirror/stem? I need one not pitted with ears intact.

Value>>> Prices on new windshields dropped to under a grand last year. I've seen used ones since then fall accordingly. $600-650 is about the most one can expect now.

What do you mean by rear window mirror stem? The car did not have a rear view mirror. I think I am going back for the fenders for myself for my S&S.

Here are the pics of the car, uploaded them to the gallery.

As you can see, they aren't carefully at the yard with what car gets dumped where.
