Have an '83 Buick Lesabre hearse. I would like to change from column to floor shift. Anybody have any pointers? What shifters will fit etc. Would be greatly appreciated!

Jump on Summit Racing or Jegs websites, call their support hotline if you don't know exactly what transmission you have. They will sell you an aftermarket floor shifter made specifically for your tranny. There are so many styles, i'd suggest going with a B&M Quicksilver or something similar... they are cable shifters that can be installed totally in an afternoon. All you need is a couple wrenches & a drill to mount it & drill the hole for the cable to go through the floor to the tranny.
$199 complete!
