  • Problems with table.

I've recently bought a 1992 Cadillac S&S Victoria and noticed that the table in the back is supposed to slide out, but there is a bolt that is preventing it. I've included pics of the table and the metal piece that is preventing the movement. Does anyone know if this was a factory opiton or if this was something someone else has done to the table. I've tried to remove the allen bolts but no matter which way I turn them they just spin. Not sure if there is a switch somewhere that disengages the bolt allowing the table to move or if it's just there to hold it permanently. Any help would be appreciated.

I am not embarrased to say that when i bought my first coach with a slide out table, it took me the better part of an hour to figure out how to work the damn thing....
So with that in mind, what fun would it be to just tell you how to do it??? Good luck!
I will tell you this though, you should not have to remove any bolts or other hardware to get the thing to operate properly - the solution is very simple, and you'll most likely kick yourself when you figure it out.

Slide out table in my '95 took a few minutes to figure out as well, mainly because the release handle was off and believed missing initially. The two tables are different but after seeing your pics and Double D's response I also figured it out.

Hmmm... Well I guess I'll look again tomorrow and I'm sure after much cussing I'll be back wanting at least some hints. I know it's something so painfully obvious that I'm overlooking and I'll kick myself in the ass when I do discover it...

Grab the rod that is the handle in the back and pull it to the side to release the lock
