Looking for a Cadillac 1959 S&S Park Row (combo)

First let me introduce myself. My name is J.C. and I live in Holland (Amsterdam region) I own a limo and hearse company (www.gtap.nl click on left site for wedding cars right site for hearses.)
I have always loved old cars. My first old car was a 1931 Chevrolet Independence sedan witch I still own now for over 35 years now, the car is like brand new.
Few months ago I saw some pictures of a 1959 Cadillac S&S Park Row combo, and am attracted by the model. I’ve searched a lot on the internet last weeks, and found out what I like. (landau is def. not my style.) So now I am looking for a 1959 Cadillac hearse (or combo), definitely limo style, preferably and S&S park row, MM will also be considered. I would like to put that car in active duty again, for families who like something different as the standard hearse.
I am not looking for a ground up restoration, but a new paint job or a new interior will not be a problem, important is that the car is complete. (glass, trim etc) Vintage Cadillac parts are hard to find in Europe. When you know a car like this for sale, please let me know, I will be grateful.

That is a nice collection of vehicles you have there, I really like the old buses.

A 1959 of any type will be hard but not impossible to find. However seeing that you want to put it back in service and not Ghostbuster it might make it easier.

Thank you for the compliment. I hope to find a lot of nice people here who want to be my ears and eyes in my search for the car I am looking for. From Europe I have no access to ads in your local news papers. Our company has a long history, as you can see in this link; http://www.tap-rouwvervoer.nl/fotoarchief/ I like vintage and classic cars, and over the years I made a small collection which I use for the wedding business. http://www.tap-trouwvervoer.nl/wagenpark.html There is for instance a Lincoln 1948 witch 48.000 actual miles, and my personal favourite, a Buick 1955 witch I bought in TX from the first owner (!).

Oh….,I almost forgot; there is now a 59 ambulance for sale in Holland, http://wovu.nl/oldtimers/occasions.php?controller=Listings&action=view&id=3 4 This is a ground up restoration, and definitely not what I am looking for. '59 Miller Meteor prices are in stratosphere thanks to Ecto-loving dreamers. By saying you'd consider one, know that you'll pay 3x what a '59 S&S will bring, regardless of condition.

'59 S&S Park Row is by default a limo style. That was S&S term for a limo style, regardless if it was an endloader or combination. A straight ambulance (like link you provided) is a Parkway. A landau is a Victoria.

Only a few '59 S&S Park Rows have traded hands in last several years. Each required full restoration. There simply aren't many surviving. Dictating the amount of work desired on one more than likely equates to there not being an example out there at all. (We'll exclude NHAA member Otto Baron's '59 S&S Park Row as I don't think it can be pried away.)

Your best bet is either to accept any condition or be prepared to pay going rate for a nice example. After looking though my archives and notes, there may be 2 total known existing that are nice. I don't know current location of either. Each would have to be tracked down to see if they even could be purchased.

I remember reading in the PCS message board some years back, that a member had sold a decent 59 Park Row, and it was shipped to Europe. I wonder if it still exists, and might be available.

About The Chrysler Imperial ; Did you notice the special way the tailgate opens ??
It is not like a door or so, but the complete end of the car opens, and the “door” rests on the roof.
It worked manual, so some muscles where necessary, (although not too much,) it was a thought full construction. At the age of about 14 years I was able to open and close the gate.

Never the less, I am always interested in response from positive members. Hope to find the car I am looking for in the future, who knows.

Apparently Pontiac Joe thinks JC from Holland actually is a funeral coach (a opposed to someone looking for one) and is urging him to buy his freedom from his owner, so he can join those other vehicles who have thrown off the bondage of being owned by human beings, and be with those fellow freed vehicles, found in the Pixar "Cars" and "Planes" films.

JC, I lived in Amsterdam North for 5 years, Well between Muiden and Ijmuiden, no my Dutch is not perfect, I used a translation program to get the spelling right, I meant to say go ahead and allow Atti to help U with finding your coach, I do not know anybody in the world who would be more capable as a "Makelaar", On the East coast he knows where more of these cars are then about anybody, Offer him a generous commission, he works hard and deserves to make something from all of these, there is little money to be found as a specialist in these kinds of cars.

I have purchased some parts From Atti over the years, he tends to loose interest in the project at some point after he gets paid and before he ships the item, I remain somewhat bitter about the whole thing, perhaps U can consider my recommendation with a somewhat more positive lite, if Atti was to send me the parts I paid him for, I would be less bitter, he is really a likeable guy.

I have talked to Atti several times and let me tell you if you treat him right he will treat you right. He has helped me alot since I bought my '75 and he always answers his phone when I have a question he always offers help when you need it unless you stab him in the back and lemme say PontiacRoss it seems like you like talking smack and Atti is a great friend and if you keep going talking crap you will have more than three red blocks by your name!
