  • Looking for a 1970's Miller-Meteor

    Hello, all!
I'm in currently in the market for a hearse. Looking for a 1970's Cadillac M-M, if possible (though I'd consider other years and models; the MMs are just so nice and big and reminiscent of the typical image of a hearse). I've got about $5000 to spend (though this, too, is flexible), but so far I can't find anything online. If anyone has any suggestions for me, I'd really appreciate it. Location doesn't matter; if the car runs well I'd be happy to drive it back to Florida. I really would like something that doesn't have too many major problems with it, since I'm no car expert.
Anyway, any help you could offer would be much appreciated!!
    Thanks so much!!!

For $5,000 you should be able to find something nice. There is a Craigs list / Ebay section on this board. Check often and be sure to post a pic when you get one.

Thanks, yeah, I've been watching ebay, and I saw that one, but the seller says it needs "a bit of TLC," which I'd rather not have to deal with! As I say, don't know much about cars. I think I might hold on for something that's going to require the least possible amount of work (which is still probably going to be a fair amount, considering the car's age). I was looking at 1970's cars for precisely that reason; the older the car, the more I'm going to have to put into it. At least, that's been my reasoning so far; perhaps there's not a substantial degree of difference between the 60's and 70's.

So, yeah, I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for ebay/craigslist listings, but if anyone has any other places they recommend, that'd be great.

Anyway, thanks so much, BIGEVIL! Also, it's good to get an idea of where $5000 will get me. This is my first time buying a hearse, so I'm not quite sure how much buys what.

Check with CW Coach in Cinn., Ohio, I believe they have a 69 or 70 M&M combo. Check out their website.

One big advantage with late 60's very early 70's, is they are easier to work on. They don't have 6 miles of vacuum lines for emmissions or automatic a/c controls. Cadillacs in general always need a little "tlc". But thats what we are here for. Some of our members know these cars like the back of their hand. There will always be some degree of satisfaction doing repairs yourself.
